(béd.) [A.S. be ade ] A little perforated ball of gla , ivory, & c., worn by women in necklaces, head dre es, .- (Arch.) A round moulding, commonly made upon the edge of a board, . In the Corinthian and Roman orders, it is cut or carved in short embo ments like beads in necklaces.-(Metal.) The small ball or ma of pure metal separated from the scoria, and seen distinct while in the fire. [s. 81]
