[L. membrana, membrane, + form a, form.] Having the characteristics of a membrane; membranous in form; laminar; lamellar; fascial. mem bra no coriaceous (membrā-nō-kō-ri-a shius ), a. [L. membrana, membrane, + corium, hide, + -aceous. Cf. coriaceous .] Of a thick, tough, membranous texture or consistency, as a polyzoan.
