PROFESSOR, was bom in 1841, and was Senior Cla ic at Cambridge in 1862. In 1875 he was made Profe or of Greek in Glasgow University, and in 1889 he was elected to a similar post at Cambridge. His best-known works are "Attic Orators,” "Sophocles,” etc.
