A. quin que folia is a very closely allied species of the eastern United States, and its roots have been largely exported to China as a substitute for the true ginseng. The only medicinal effect in either case is that of a mild aromatic stimulant. - Dwarf ginglyform (jing'- or ging'gli-fôrm), a. [Short for* ginglymi form, joints. ginglymi, n. Plural of ginglymus. Ginglymodi (jingor ging-gli-mō'dī), n. pl. [NL., irreg. pl., Phomboid scales.
