Swedish Congregationalist; b. at Strbmsbro, a suburb of Gefle, Sweden, Jan. 8, 1842; graduated at Upsala, 1862; ordained minister in the Luther an State Church, 1864; was promoted to komminister at Ogkelbo, 1868; pa ed pastoral examination at the University of Upsala, 1871; resigned his office in the State Church, Sept. 1, 1879, and became director of the Mi ion Institute at Kristinehamm, and president of the Swedish Mi ion A ociation.
