apo neurotomy

[Gr. (1) ἀπό (apo) = from; (2) νευροτόμος ( neurotomos ) = cutting sinews; νευροτομέω ( neurotomeō ) = to cut the sinews; νεῦρον (neuron) = a sinew, and τέμνω (temno) to cut.] The di ection of an aponeurosis (q. v.).
