(gran'-ul). In anatomy, any small rounded grain, such as is found in the Malpighian bodies of the spleen. Also a spore or an isolated cell. In pharmacy, a small pill. G., Elementary, irregular protoplasmic bodies in the blood, smaller than ordinary blood-corpuscles. G., Seminal, any one of the solid particles of the semen, consisting of round, granular corpuscles. G.-cell, any one of a variety of round cells found in pathologically softened brain-ti ue, and densely filled with fat-globules. G.ma , a giant-cell.
