Ellis, George Edward

Ms., 1814-1894. A Unitarian clergyman of Boston who was pastor of the Harvard Church in Charles town, 1840-69, and for many years president of the Ma achusetts Historical Society. He was an enthusiastic historical student with positive convictions. They were, however, held without bitterne or prejudice.
