sin-o'vT-a, n. (Anat.) A fluid secreted within the synovial capsules of the joints, serving as a lubricating fluid to the latter. [Gr. sun and L. ovum, Gr. oon, an egg.] — Syno'vial, a. Of, or pert, to, the synovia, or lubricating fluid of the joints.
