Tower of, was somewhere in Babylon. The word has nothing to do with ' confusion ’ of tongues or of anything else, but means fcerally ‘ the gate of God.’ Such attempts to scale heaven are familiar in ancient mythology, e.g. the Titans, and are typical of human presumption.
