[ marver (mär'ver), n. [F. marbre, marble: see marble.] In gla - manuf., a slab or tablet, originally of marble, but now generally of polished cast-iron, placed on a suitable support or stand, and used by the gla -blower to impart, by rolling and pre ing, a cylindrical form to the fused gla gathered upon the end ing of marigold.
