[Mod. Latin, from Eng., ., mango, and Lat. fero =to bear, to produce.] Bot.: A genus of An a card i aceæ, consisting of trees of alternate, stalked, entire leaves, and panicles of small pinkish or yellowish flowers. Mangi fer a indica is the Mango (q. v.). The fruit of M. sylvatic a is used in India medicinally.
