Minor

Determinant remaining after deleting (striking out) any row or rows and the same number of columns. The principal minor is that when but one row and one column is deleted; the element common to the row or column deleted is the cofactor. A complementary minor is the determinant formed of the elements common to the deleted rows and columns.
