Joseph . b. Little Over near Derby 1759; fought under Rodney and Hood off Port Royal, Jamaica, April 1782, believed to have been last survivor of that battle; one of the foremost mutineers at the Nore, May-June 1797; one of forlorn hope at storming of Seringa pat am 4 May 1799; received a compound fracture of both legs at Copenhagen 2 April 1801. d. Manchester 25 June 1855 in 96 year.
