An effusion of blood into a cavity of the body, pelvic h. Syn.: recto-uterine h. A collection of blood in the cavity of the true pelvis, generally in the space between the uterus and the rectum, scrotal h. An extravasation of blood into the tunica vaginal is. Effusion of blood into the ti ues is a hematoma.
