(Rainer's).* fl. blue, erect; corolla turbinate. June. l. almost se ile, ovate, tomentose, remotely serrated; lower ones the smallest, obovate. Stems erect, firm, branched. Branches one-flowered, leafy. h. 2in. to 3in. Switzerland, Italy, ., 1826. A beautiful little alpine, requiring a warm position in rich gritty soil; it must be religiously protected against slugs.
