Acetanilide, or PHENYL ACETAMIDE

CH. NH.C,H,O, generally known by the copyrighted name of Anti feb rin; produced when aniline and acetic acid are heated together. It is a white, shining, micaceous crystalline powder, used in medicine as an antipyretic in fevers; also in rheumatism, neuralgia and headaches. Dose, 2 to 10 grains.
