Spanish name of tornadoes near the Philippine Islands. Bahamas. Ab. 700 islands and keys of the West Indies, belonging to Great Britain. Few of them are inhabited. They produce mainly tropical fruits. The capital is Na au, on New Providence. Pop. 48,000. 1866.
