euxanthin (uksanthin)

[ be derived from the bile or urine of buffaloes which have been fed on mango-leaves, and also from that of the camel and elephant. It is also said to be obtained from a vegetable juice saturated with magnesia and boiled down. forms small yellow crystals, and is the magnesium salt of euxanthic or purreic acid.
