Quadrilateral

(-lut'ür-al.) (From L. quadrilaterus, four-sided.] (Geom.) An epithet for a figure whose perimeter consists of four right lines, making four angles; it is called also quadrangular. Q. figures are either a parallelogram, trapezium, rectangle, square, rhombus, or rhomboid. [s. 746]
