(in’ ’ -fin-it)[in, not; fnis,; boundary]. Immeasurable or innumerable unlimited, when compared with any known or conceivable quantity. I. Distance, a term in optics indicating a distance of 20 feet (6 meters) or more. Rays from an object at that distance and entering the eye are practically parallel, as they would be completely if coming from a point at a really infinite distance. 332
