Wright, William

M.A., Ph.D. (hon., Leyden), LL.D. (hon., Cambridge, Dublin, Edinburgh, St. Andrew's), layman, Church of England; b. in India, Presidency of Bengal, Jan. 17, 1830; educated at St. Andrew's and Halle; was appointed profe or of Arabic in University College, London, 1855; a istant keeper of MSS., 1869; profe or of Arabic in the University of Cambridge, 1870.
