Festoon

(fès-toon'.) [Fr. fes ton; L. festum, a feast.] Generally, a wreath or garland, suspended so as to form a semicircle.-(Arch.) An ornament representing leaves, flowers, and fruits, tastefully intertwined together, and which, suspended at the ends, hangs downward in the form of an inverted arch. [s. 361]
