[Pref. hydro- (1), and Gr. mus = a mouse.] Zool.: A genus of Muride, containing Hydromys leuco gaster and H. chrysogaster, perhaps only varieties of the same species. They are from tralia and Tasmania. hy-dro-ně-phrō-sis, s. [Pref. hydro- (1), and Eng. nephrosis (q. v.).] Path .: Dropsy of the kidney. hỹ-dro-nic-kěl-măg-ně-site, s. [Pref. hydro(1); Eng. nickel , and magnesite (q. v.).] Min.: The same as PENNITE (q. v.). hy-dro-pa-răs-ta-tēs, hy-dro-pa-răs-ta-ta, s . pl . [Gr. hydro para stat a i ; pref. hydro- (1), and para states one who stands by or near.] Ch. Hist .: The same as ENCRATITES (q. v.).
