Huxley , Anat. Vert., p. 201. zygapophysial (zī-gap-o-fiz'i-al), a. [ pophyses (-sēz). [NL., normally two pairs of zygapophyses to a vertebra, the two proce es (right and left) which are situated upon the an terior border of any arch being called pre zygapophyses, and those upon the posterior border, post zygapophyses. Each pair of any one vertebra articulates with the other pair of the next vertebra.
