Veneer

ve-ner', v. t. [-neered (-nerd'), -seeking.] To overlay or plate with a thin layer of wood or other material for outer finish or decoration. — n. A thin leaf or layer of a more valuable or beautiful material for overlaying an inferior one. — Veneer'ing, n. Act or art of overlaying a coarse or inferior wood with thin leaves of a superior material, or the covering thus laid on. Venenation. See under Venom.
