[Eng.sulphur: -ing.] to the fumes of sulphur. It is adopted with straw1. Bleaching : A proce of bleaching by exposure braid, straw hats, silks, woolens, . Sulphurous acid is the bleaching agent, and may be applied by means of a watery solution. 2. Calico-printing: The proce of exposing printed calicoes to sulphurous acid fumes. It is an incident in fixing of steam-colors.
