It has also been employed as a local application in diphtheria, tonsillitis, scarlatinal sore-throat, and other inflammatory conditions, and internally in malaria and neuralgia. Dose gr. j (o. i). M. Dichlorid, CH2C12; a general anesthetic, used instead of chloroform. 393
