In Music, a grace used in the German school, and consisting of two small notes moving by degrees. SLIDING KEEL, is a narrow oblong frame or platform, let down vertically through the bottom of a small ve el, like a deepening of the keel throughout a portion of her length. > Its use is, like that of the lceboard, to sustain the ve el sgsinst the lateral force of the wind.
