Benefactress

A female who confers a benefit. Benefice, (ben'e-fis,) n. [Lat. beneficium.] A benefit, advantage, or kindne conferred. Specifically, an ecclesiastical living conferred by a patron, but which is inferior to that of a bishop; a church endowed with a revenue for the performance of divine service.
