[Gr. en =in, and chondros =cartilage.] Med.: A cartilaginous tumor, usually growing from bone, hyaline cartilage predominating; generally of slow growth, except when proceeding from the medulla of bone; then the growth is rapid, texture soft, chiefly malignant, and not limited by a fibrous capsule.
