RETICULUM

(Lat.) The name of the " honeycomb bag," or second cavity of the complex stomach of the Ruminant quadrupeds; so called because of the reticulate or honeycomb-like disposition of the mostly hexagonal cells which occupy its inner surface. [s. 1062]
