[ periblast + -ic.] Germinating from the surface of the ovum: noting those meroblastic eggs which, by superficial segmentation of the vitellus, produce a per i gastrula in germinating. per i blastula (per-i-blas tū-la), n.; pl. periblas tulæ (-lē).
