Of or pertaining to the occiput occiput and the atlas. More frequently called occipito-atloid. Occipito-atlantal ligaments, ligaments uniting the occipital bone and the atlas: two anterior, two lateral, and one posterior are distinguished. Of the two anterior, one, a strong com pact bundle in front of the other, is sometimes designated acce ory.
