(hej’belz), n. 1. The hedge-bind- weed, Convolvulus sepium. See cut under Convolvulus. Also called bell-bind.—2. The common bindweed, ©. arvensis. Same as hagberry, the bird-cherry: but in this form it seems more generally to mean the larger sweet bird-cherry, Prunus avium, which is merely a variety of the garden-cherry, P.
