SULPHURATION

The proce by which certain silk, cotton, and woollen goods are subjected to the fumes of burning sulphur, or sulphurous acid, for the purpose of decolouring or bleaching. The straw used in the manufacture of hats is similarly bleached or sulphured. SUNSTONii;. A resplendent variety of felspar, found in Norway and elsewhere.
