Inflammation of the sensitive portion of the feet of horses, mules or a es, which may be due to overwork, especially on hard roads, overfeeding, drinking too much water when heated, or sudden chilling. Poulticing of feet, opium to ease pain, and aconite will usually relieve unle very severe.
