Ox., B.A. 1824, M.A. 1827; fellow of his college; naturalist on board the Blonde frigate (which conveyed bodies of King and Queen of Sandwich Islands to their native land) 1824–26; P.C. of Twycro , Leics. 1839–71; R. of Harborough Magna 1871 to death; wrote on conchology, ornithology and plants; author of A guide to Bradgate park with natural history of Charnwood Forest 1829. d.
