[ phyllodium (fi-lō'di-um), n.; pl. phyllodia (-a). [NL., Phyllodoce (fi-lod'ō-sē), n. [NL. (Brown, 1756), late leaves, and a peduncled spike crowded with reniform one-celled two-valved sporangia, each subtended by a cuspidate bract. P. Drummondii, the only species, is found in Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand.
