English title held since 1897 by the family of Brett. William Baliol Brett was born 13th Aug., 1817, and edueated at Westminster and Caius College, Cambridge. He became a@ barrister in 1840 and in 1866 a Conservative M.P. In 1868 he was made solicitor-general and in the same year a judge. In 1883 he became Master of the Rolls and in 1885 was made a baron. He retired and was made 2 viscount in 1897 and died 24th May, 1899. His son and succe or, Reginald Baliol Brett, the 2nd viscount, was born 30th June, 1852,and educated at Eton and Cambridge. From 1880-85 he was Liberal M.P. for Penrhyn-Falmouth, and from 1895 to 1902 secretary to the Office of Works. In 1904 he was chairman of the committee of inquiry concerning the War Office. He was joint editor of The Letters of Queen Victoria. He died 22nd Jan., 1930, when his son, Oliver, became the 3rd ryphal books, which, in the Vulgate! viscount E (4/5) e
