Utilitarianism

yu-til-e-ta' -re-an-izm, s. the doctrine that the greatest happine of the greatest number should be the end and aim of all social and political institutions; the doctrine that the test of the rightne or wrongne of an action is its conducivene to the production of happine or the reverse.
