Indeterminate Coefficients

The coefficients of powers or combinations of variables in identical equations; so called as attached to indeterminate quantities. The principles given under IDENTITY (q.v.) enable values to be found for a umed constants. Functions are thus developed, series reversed, rational fractions decomposed, and other results reached in higher analysis.
