Sang as lad in Dublin, and appeared in Arne’s Cymon; pupil at Naples of Fenaroli and Apnle; sang in Italy and Vienna, where he met Mozart and sang in Nozze di Figaro; sang in London after 1787; 1789 appeared as compr. of several pieces; 1802 opened music shop; bankrupt 1811, opened wine shop; entertaining Reminiscences published 1826.
