It is also spoken by the Khetran tribe in the territory behind the Suleimani Mountains. Altogether about two and a half millions of the people of Northwestern India speak Multani. They themselves call it Jagdalli or Jatki, the name Multani being given to it by neighboring peoples. The language is allied to the Punjabi and to the Sindhi.
