kom-pakt', a.firm; close; firmly and closely united; dense; brief; pithy; not diffuse or verbose: held together; compacted; composed: v.a. to unite or connect firmly; to pre closely together; to consolidate (L. com, and pan go, pactum,to fix). Compactly, kom-pakt'-le, ad. in a compact manner. Compactne ,kom-pakt'-nes, s.the state of being compact.
