(ows'tur-lits.) (Hist.) A small town of Mora via, on the Littawa, 13 m. S.E. of Brünn, which has given its name to a famous battle fought Dec. 2,1805, in which the combined Ru ian and Austrian armies were defeated with great slaughter by the French under Napoléon I. [s. 62]
