& s. [PULMO GRAD A.] A. As adj.: Of or relating to the Pulmo grad a; resembling a pulmo grade; moving like a pulmo grade. B. As subst.: A member of the Pulmo grad a. pul-mon-är-I-a, s. [Fem. of Lat. pulmonarius =consumptive. Named from its being formerly used in pulmonary affections.] Botany: Lungwort; a genus of Lithos per mee. Calyx five-partite; corolla regular, funnel-shaped, with a naked throat; stamens included, filaments short, nutlets stony, smooth. Known species five; from Europe and North Asia. pŭl-mo-när-I-æ, s. pl. [PULMONATA.] Zool .: A division of Arachnid a (q. v.). *pul-mo-när-I-ous, a . [Lat. pulmonarius , from pulmo (gen it. pulmonis )=a lung.] Diseased in the lungs. ( Blount .)
