FREDERICK, a celebrated English chemist and meteorologist, B in London, 1790. He was the author of Meteorological E ays, E ay on Artificial Climates, and an Introduction to Chemical Philosophy, and, also, the inventor of the hydrometer and the pyrometer. D. 1845.
