Listerine

A proprietary preparation said to contain thyme, eucalyptus, baptisia, gaultheria, and mentha arvensis, with two grains of benzo-boric acid in each dram Listerism (lis'-tcr-izm). A general name for the antiseptic and aseptic treatment of wounds according to the principles first enunciated by Lister. See Lister i an Methods.
