Cryptonemieæ (krip tonemiee)

pl. [NL., filiform, gelatinous, or cartilaginous frond, composed wholly or in part of cylindrical cells connected together into filaments. Also Crypt one meæ and Cryptonemiaceæ. Crypton eur a (krip-tō-nū rä), n. pl. [NL., neut. pl. of crypton eur us: see crypton euro us.] A term applied by Rudolphi to certain low organisms in which nerves were not known to exist: practically synonymous with Acrita.
